Nature of This Resource

This is a private reference site, not a government office. It does not maintain official records, make release decisions, file court or agency documents, or confirm whether a person is currently in custody. Only the government office that owns a record can authenticate it, correct it, or take official action.

The site points visitors toward resources such as the Roanoke County/Salem Jail inquiry, Western Virginia Regional Jail, Virginia Department of Corrections, parole and probation offices, Virginia courts, VINELink, federal locators, and third-party research tools. A link is a route to another service, not a statement that its content is complete or endorsed.

Acceptable Use Rules

Use must be lawful, respectful, and consistent with the limits of a public reference service. A visitor agrees:

• Not to violate any law while accessing or using the site
• Not to stalk, harass, threaten, or harm another person with information found here
• Not to make hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions from site content

No Consumer Reports or Screening

Roanoke County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It supplies no background check, credit report, or consumer report. Its advertising and search partners do not provide screening services through this site. By using the site, a visitor agrees not to use its information or linked search results for an FCRA-covered purpose, including:

• Hiring, firing, promotion, or another employment decision
• Tenant selection, housing eligibility, or lease decisions
• Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance premiums and eligibility
• Licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility
• Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA

Services Outside Our Control

Virginia government records may also be subject to the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, Code § 2.2-3700 et seq., and to specific exemptions or access limits. We do not control a destination's content, privacy practices, data handling, price, response time, or availability. Visitors should read the destination's current terms before using it.

Service Provided As Is

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no express or implied warranty concerning:

• The accuracy, completeness, or current status of information
• Continuous or uninterrupted site availability
• The absence of errors, bugs, or security weaknesses

Custody status, facility assignments, release dates, supervision records, and court dockets can change quickly. Nothing published here is an official statement by the Roanoke County Sheriff's Office, Western Virginia Regional Jail, VADOC, a court, or another government agency. Verify a material fact with the office that created the record.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, Roanoke County Released Inmates and its owners, operators, contributors, and service partners are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive loss arising from access to, inability to use, or reliance on the site or a linked service. Your Duty to Indemnify

Remaining Terms Stay Effective

If a court finds one provision invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the rest of these Terms and Conditions remains in effect. The affected provision will be limited or adjusted only to the minimum extent needed to make it enforceable where the law permits.
